Trying to make the best of an April snow storm, I braved the elements, hoping to get some "pretty" landscape photos. I quickly realized there was nothing pretty about this snowstorm... it was craptastic out! It was one of those sloshy, wet snows that might as well of been rain. But when I slipped down the hill, grasping at the stonewall to regain my balance, I saw something beautiful. Growing between the stones were tiny fiddleheads, no bigger than the size of a pea. Enchanted by this macro world, I started shooting. I leaned against the wall to steady my camera and used an extension tube so I could get right up in there. I even used a flashlight to give me an extra boost of light. Love the way they came out. There is beauty all around us. Sometimes its not super obvious so don't forget to look closer!!
