IT’S OFFICIAL SPRING IS HERE! In my eyes spring doesn’t begin until the magnolia trees bloom. I can remember as a child playing under our magnolia tree, making mud pies with my sister. Soft pink petals were all around us and the sweet aroma of blooms mixed with dirt filled the air. The spring blooms will always bring me back to the good old days of playing outside and getting dirty, enjoying the outdoors the way children should. These blooms go just as fast as they come and as the flowers wither away the memories fade until next spring. I spent several days photographing this tree, taking my time, savoring its beauty, and holding on to my childhood memories.
